What is Appliqué?

Appliqué, by definition, is the process in which pieces or patches of fabric in different shapes and patterns are sewn or stuck onto a larger piece to form a picture or pattern. This versatile technique can be added to virtually anything, making for unique and beautiful creations!

For the past 35 years, I have been using appliqué to make my items truly stand out. This technique allows me to offer unique variations that showcase the depth of my skills and help me meet my customers' diverse needs.

My Appliqué Journey

I began my appliqué journey with baby bibs, and this one product quickly took off. The whimsical appliqué patterns, from farm animals to Noah's Ark to seasonal additions, made for delightful baby gifts that excited expecting mothers. This craze for appliqué started long before the internet and all the tools available today. Back then, I started doodling my own patterns, drawing and sizing each one like a perfect little puzzle to layer and create the desired item or scene. I still create my patterns this very same way today, testing each one to ensure they fit and create trending appliqué designs.
